Dr. Amy S. Armstrong is board certified in Internal Medicine with a strong personal interest in health and fitness. A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, Dr. Armstrong graduated from Troy University in 1997 and received her medical degree from the University of South Alabama in 2001. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at USA Medical Center and served as chief medical resident from 2004–2005. Since that time, she has worked as a hospitalist admitting and caring for patients with a variety of illnesses throughout their hospitalization. She has completed additional training through the International Association for Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, APT Medical Aesthetics, and in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.
As a Christian, Amy feels a strong calling to help others live their best life. Her work at LaBella Rx focuses on wellness and the prevention of chronic illnesses. Anyone who has concerns regarding their weight, energy, fatigue, sleep patterns, moodiness, loss of endurance, decreased muscle mass, increased belly fat, hormonal changes, or skin would benefit from a consultation with Dr. Armstrong.
Amy and her husband, Jonathan, were married in 1997 and share two children, Grace and Jack. In her spare time, Amy enjoys CrossFit, training for obstacle and terrain races, offshore fishing, cooking and spending time with her family on the water.
